Carolyn Ovaitt serves as the Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Business Management at Delegate Advisors, working out of the Chapel Hill office since the firm launched in January 2012. In this role, Carolyn has a wide variety of responsibilities including managing the office facilities, payroll, HR policies and benefits, technology and cybersecurity, vendor management and payables, compliance support and Board/Member relations. Carolyn’s penchant for multitasking enables her to excel in her various day-to-day projects. Nothing makes her more proud than when she can lay the groundwork so her colleagues are enabled to be the best they can be at what we do.
Before Delegate, Carolyn’s career spanned over 25 years in the architecture and real estate sectors, where she learned to wear many hats by building and expanding her own architecture firm into areas of construction, development and property management, eventually building a $25 million portfolio of commercial and residential investment assets.
In her free time, Carolyn enjoys reading, taking her dogs for long walks and watching Carolina Hurricanes hockey. She also is a mother to three beautiful children.
