To be eligible for this ranking, firms must be independent registered investment advisors, file their own ADV statements with the SEC and provide financial planning and related services to individual clients. All eligible firms are then ranked based on assets under management, among other factors.
Along with the ranking, Financial Advisor Magazine also released a special report that examines the slowing down of consolidations of financial firms after two decades of frenzied growth and what this may mean for the future of the industry.
